Cedarville, Ohio Real Estate

Cedarville is a college village in the truest sense — Cedarville University, a Baptist
institution running since 1887, is the dominant presence and the largest local employer. That shows up
directly in the demographics: median age under 21, among the youngest of any place in this guide.
A real historic core
The Cedarville Opera House, dating to the 1880s, is on the National Register of Historic
Places, and the old Carnegie Library now serves as the university’s Fine Arts building. Every December the
village becomes the “Little Town of Lights,” known for decorated milk-jug lanterns lining the streets.
Housing stock
Platted in 1816, Cedarville is compact — a population density over 3,200 per square mile packed into a
small footprint. Cedar Cliff Local School District combines elementary, middle, and high
school in a single building.
University-town living, with real small-town history underneath it. Worth a look if
you want both.
