Bellbrook was laid out in 1816 but didn’t become a city until 1974, and today it’s largely built out —
there’s not much open land left, which keeps supply naturally limited. Owner-occupancy runs over 80%, well
above the regional norm, and the city has added over a thousand housing units since a 1970 annexation
expanded its footprint.

Community character

The Sugar Maple Festival every April and a Lions Club festival every August are genuine
local institutions, and the Bellbrook Historical Museum on North Main Street keeps the city’s
history close at hand. Writer Erma Bombeck and actor Jonathan Winters both have ties to Bellbrook.

Schools

Sugarcreek Local School District runs Bellbrook High School, Bell Creek Intermediate, and
Bellbrook Middle School — a well-regarded district that’s a major reason families choose the city.

Bellbrook inventory is limited by geography, not just demand. Worth moving quickly when
something in your range comes up.
